Meet Helena
Cybercrime, Cybersecurity and Digital Policy Researcher
Helena Yixin Huang is an Associate Research Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, specialising in cybercrime, cybersecurity policy, and emerging technologies.
Her work examines how cybercriminals, governments, and private actors shape today’s digital ecosystem, and how power, law, and governance evolve in response. With experience at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Helena brings a grounded understanding of both policy and operations to her research, connecting theory with real-world cybercrime dynamics across ASEAN and beyond.
Helena holds a M.Sc Interntional Relations and is a Certified Ethical Hacker. Her current projects explore cyber-enabled transnational crime, AI-driven cyber threats, and regional approaches to digital governance and resilience.
