Digging Deeper...

This is likely going to be one of the rare personal reflective pieces you will ever find on this blog. The purpose of this blog has always been to serve as a record of my cerebral musings as an individual entity. However, the past five years spent on this blog, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic, has brought about a new frustration in me.

Covid-19 was a key to opening the pandora box. Why is it that the human trafficking rates did not drop even when the borders were closed? What were the syndicates doing? Why are governments still tardy in coming up with policies to criminalise the payment of online sex services through cryptocurrencies? Why is Backpage like that persistent scab that constantly regrows? Why is technology so smart yet so incompetent at solving human rights issues? The list of ‘whys’ kept growing in my head and it opened doors I never knew I would venture into.

At this point, I have decided to depend on myself to dig into the technical aspects in order to find the answers. I will continue to update this blog. However, please expect a slight shift in the trajectory of some research pieces and book reviews.
