Today I found about about HeHealth.ai from Project X.
HeHealth is a free app which uses an AI-powered screening tool to find out if the penis owner has STDs.
The use of technology and how it provides instant results got me incredibly excited. Can you imagine the number of women and sex workers who can now potentially be protected? That said, I don’t think many men out there would be open to such a photo being taken when visiting a sex worker.
This app can’t identify STDs without any external symptoms, but it is an innovative and useful starting point for the use of accessible and non-expensive AI in healthcare. It is a form of easy access for people who can’t afford or are too shy to go to the doctor. The team also created an AI risk-assessment tool for monkeypox. Just think of the possibilities of this app!
But as always, on the security side: if it uses AI, there needs to be a database. So what if that database gets hacked…?
